Successfully achieved Investors in People award for the last 12 years and continue to invest in self-development for all internal teams. Due to the nature of the work involved you will be required to attend the Redditch office 3 days per week during the training period.
THE ROLE
As part of company growth within the technical engineering team, my client has immediate requirements for a Technical Service Engineer to support customer requirements and drive technical excellence by developing bespoke solutions.
Some of the key requirements of this role include pre-sales support, strong technical troubleshooting at a 2nd line level including occasional travel to client sites for installations and upgrade projects.
Please note, this is a client facing role with an ability to communicate to a non-technical audience with an ability to build strong client relationships.
**Car and licence is a must for this role with full right to work! No sponsorship available
**Office based 5 days per week during the training period (3-6 months)
THE PERSON
To meet the requirements of this role, you must meet the following:

• Two years’ minimum commercial experience in a similar technical engineering role ideally within the Industrial IT sector (not essential)
  
• Having worked with similar technologies such as PLC, OPC or SCADA (training can be provided)
  
• A technical awareness of OPC, VPN routers, IoT platforms and cybersecurity tools
  
• A good understanding of IT networks and infrastructure systems
  
• Ability to problem solve with a strong analytical focus and solutions focussed mindset
  
• Ability to communicate technical problems and resolve issues clearly to both technical teams and non-technical customers
  
• A willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and constantly self-learning as part of an inhouse training programme
