N-able, based in Edinburgh, Scotland, is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to enhance our application security posture. This role involves conducting security assessments, leading security initiatives, and collaborating with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving complex security efforts for internal and external teams.
  • Automating security testing within the software development lifecycle.
  • Promoting security awareness across the organization.
  • Providing security guidance to engineering teams.
  • Working with various programming languages and security tools.
  • Supporting a secure-by-design approach.
  • Communicating security risks effectively.
  • Reviewing third-party and open-source software libraries.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years in application security.
  • Experience with cloud architecture and relevant certifications preferred.
  • Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure development practices.
  • Skills in automating security tools and scripting.
  • Experience with application security testing tools.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with threat modeling and risk identification techniques.
