The Security team is responsible for the big picture ofhow systems are designed for Security, and we use a breadth oftools and approaches to solve a broad spectrum of problems.Practices aimed at achieving proactive identification of potentialthreat actors combined with in-depth investigation of securityissues into iterative improvement are key to both product securityand interesting and dynamic day-to-day work. Security atBlockchain.com is a work in progress - we are looking for anexperienced, Senior Application Security Engineer to expand ourSecurity platform and provide leadership across the Security andthe broader engineering team. Are you ready for a challenge? WHATYOU WILL DO: 1. Work closely with Engineering teams to definesecurity requirements and perform design assessments at earlystages. 2. Perform code reviews across the lifecycle of products,and penetration tests on internal and Internet-facing services. 3.Develop, communicate, and promote best practices for the securedevelopment and deployment of services. 4. Implement improvementsin the strategy, processes and tooling, enhance the overall SecureSoftware Development Lifecycle process and lead the adoption of the“Security by design” principle. 5. Build software and implementtooling to validate and enforce secure baselines for softwaredevelopment, deployment and release. 6. Review developmentprocesses for security functionality and consistency and developSecurity playbooks. 7. Design and implement libraries and toolingfor security sensitive operations (data encryption, authentication,access, logging, input validation, etc.) 8. Support Engineeringteams with implementing security fixes, and develop strategies toproactively secure their code. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: 1. Extensiveknowledge of secure standards and practices to build softwarepreferably in at least one JVM based language such as Java andKotlin. 2. Experience working on different kinds of assignmentsincluding code reviews, secure standard development, and buildingsecure software. 3. Proven experience implementing Security inhighly regulated environments. Previous experience incryptocurrency projects is a plus. 4. Experience with OWASP, Staticand Dynamic Application Security Testing (AST) and dependencyvalidation (SCA) tools. Experience with integration into CI/CDpipelines is a plus. 5. Knowledge of Security monitoring techniquesand tools to provide actionable events to trigger automateddetection and containment and ensure traceability across the entirestack. 6. An innate curiosity, strong inclination towards bestpractices and thrivingness on learning new technologies. 7. Apragmatic approach to developing clean solutions to complexproblems. 8.
