About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Security Engineer to join our client's team in Glasgow. This role is pivotal in delivering the strategy of Security Engineering within the UK Power generation assets. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with NIS regulations and governance, while driving innovation and strategic maintenance initiatives to optimize risk, performance, and capital expenditure tailored to meet security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:Manage a capital budget of approximately £8 million.Support the Security Engineering Manager in ensuring NIS regulation compliance across a diverse geographical and technological base.Provide security technical specialist support to the asset teams.Represent company to external regulators and industry groups.Deliver the NIS Enhanced Profile plan, including drafting technical policy and documentation.Identify and respond to network attacks from internal and external sources.Detect and prevent malicious attacks using advanced processes and technologies.Ensure network architecture upholds confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) principles.Maintain documentation of proposed and deployed infrastructure.Contribute to Business Continuity Planning.

Requirements:Degree (2:1 or above) in security (Cyber) or a relevant field.Networking Security experience in a relevant environment.Expert knowledge of NIS regulations.Understanding of network security technologies and processes.Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, TLS Modbus over TCP/IP, Industrial Ethernet technologies.Methodical approach to analysis.Excellent communication skills.Proactive, highly motivated, and robust individual.Ability to work to targets in a flexible manner as part of a team.Analytical and logical thought processes.Willingness to travel and hold a driving licence.
