Team Purpose:

The Managed Network & Security Team is responsible for the management of the network & security devices in Getronics Datacentres, connectivity towards customers and Cloud providers and on premise Network & Security implementations at our Customers.


Role Purpose:

The role is to proactively and reactively manage the Network and Security devices , act on alarms from our network management systems , act on incidents reported by our customers. Troubleshoot & analyse incidents and changes , make suggestions to fix and implement the solution. Test and deploy software upgrades or security patches. Work as a full member of our international team with a size of 35 Engineers. We are looking for an experienced Professional who is autonomous, experienced, self-driven security fanatics.


You should possess excellent communication and team working skills and have confidence working on your own initiative. You will be required to work during European business hours from Monday to Friday however depending on the situation you might need to stretch as well on certain occasions and participate in on-call rota. Flexible working option is available


Responsibilities/Accountability:

  • ManaGes the design, implementation and ongoing management of mainly Cisco/PaloAlto environment, including LAN, WAN, and Wireless Environments. Coordinates with networking vendors to ensure appropriate platform integration and performance.
  • Leads and participates in the installation of Network systems and equipment for new facilities and expansions. Tests, debugs and analyses performance, and documents infrastructure components.
  • Develops Network infrastructure installation procedures to ensure successful integration of systems hardware/software. Develops and recommends technical strategies and solutions to maintain and/or expand service levels.
  • Monitors and analyses network, and provides results on a regular basis. Takes corrective action to improve data network.
  • Responds to emergency situations and can perform effective troubleshooting during production outages.
  • Act on Network Incidents reported by our network management tools.
  • Proactively test & upgrade software on various devices
  • Analyse capacity management reports & propose improvements
  • Make technical advisory / designs for customer network migrations
  • Make technical advisory to improve customer security environment.
  • Communicate & raise incidents to 3rd party ( vendors / telecom providers )
  • Create and update documentation sets
  • Propose improvement plans ( technical & human activity )
  • Propose improvements for our network management tools / Configuration.
  • Analyse reporting before used by Service Delivery Manager
  • Understand vendor product / solution evolutions


Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Networking Field with vendor products like Cisco, Fortinet, PaloAlto.
  • Hands on experience to work in an ITIL structured organisation dealing with Incident / Change / Problem management
  • Strong working experience both deploying and managing large and complex majorly Cisco/Fortinet (Routing & SDWAN / Catalyst & Nexus Switching / Wireless / ASA/Firepower/FortiGate Firewall, PRIME, ISE) LAN, WAN, Wireless Environments.
  • Expert with implementing and supporting OSPF, BGP, VRRP and other routing protocols.
  • Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analysers.
  • Troubleshoot using traffic analysers , capacity management tools.
  • Incident Report Document writing.
  • Documentation ( MS Word ) & drawing ( MS Visio ) updates
  • Knowledge and skills on handling Meraki Wireless/Firewall/SDWAN, Cisco ACI as well as IT Enterprise Products.
  • Understand to interpret wireless ( WIFI ) site survey reports.
  • Execute / tune wireless ( WIFI ) radio management.

Technical certifications ( at least one CCNP or CCIE badge is required )

  • Cisco CCNP R&S / Sec / Wireless
  • Cisco CCIE R&S / Sec / Wireless
  • Fortinet NSE 6 or Higher
  • PaloAlto Certified
  • F5 Certified
  • Meraki Certified Meraki Network Operator
  • Awareness ITIL V3 framework
