Location preference: Aberdeen, Staines, Glasgow, or Reading

Applicants must pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Senior Network & Cyber Security Engineer will support project implementation aligned with company goals, focusing on margin improvement, customer satisfaction, schedule, working capital, and safety.

Responsibilities include providing cybersecurity, networking, secure architectures, vulnerability and risk assessments, and supporting project teams and clients in the energy sector, especially within systems integration for automation and control solutions.

Key objectives:

1. 
   
2. Assess cybersecurity architectures, technologies, and procedures at client facilities.
   
3. Design solutions to meet client requirements and mitigate security risks, including antivirus, patch management, insider threat protection, incident response, and compliance.
   
4. Conduct vulnerability assessments and audits on client systems and network devices, considering OT sensitivity.
   
5. Provide expertise in network design, implementation, and testing for automation and control systems.
   
6. Identify network requirements supporting automation solutions.
   
7. Apply integration concepts across systems and vendor platforms.
   
8. Engineer network design and implementation for automation projects.
   
9. Prepare engineering studies and design documentation.
   
10. Resolve engineering issues following standards and codes.
    
11. Develop detailed network architecture and data flow diagrams.
    
12. Create network schedules and testing procedures.
    
13. Contribute to material requisitions and technical bid evaluations.
    
14. Review vendor drawings and consolidate comments.
    
15. Perform cyber security risk assessments and advise on mitigation actions.
    
16. Evaluate client security posture, identify vulnerabilities, and suggest improvements.
    
17. Stay updated with security trends and threats.
    

Skills & Qualifications:

1. 
   
2. BSc Degree or equivalent experience.
   
3. Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, CWNP, ISA/IEC 62443, or GICSP are desirable.
   
4. Experience in control system network design engineering.
   
5. Understanding of IEC62443 and IEC27001/2 standards.
   
6. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and security implications.
   
7. Experience with network specifications and control system projects.
   
8. Knowledge of OT security, safety standards, and modern automation tools.
   
9. Attention to detail, organization, and inquisitiveness.
   

Desirable:

1. 
   
2. Experience with Rockwell, Honeywell, Schneider PLC/SCADA systems.
   
3. Familiarity with telecom protocols, satellite, and radio technologies.
   
4. Experience with OT Intrusion Detection Systems.
