Overview

We are seeking a Network and Security Engineer to be part of a highly motivated team in a challenging and rewarding environment. The candidate will work as part of a global team and interface directly with specific internal clients for their needs. We expect candidates to be creative, innovative, team-oriented, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment providing Level 2 and 3 technology support and administration for the IT Infrastructure Network and Security Operations Team. Technology support will cover network and security technologies across multiple sites in multiple countries.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide Level 2 and 3 technology support and administration for the IT Infrastructure Network and Security Operations Team.
  2. Solid understanding and minimum 8-10 years of hands-on experience with Check Point firewalls, Arista, Dell, Mellanox, and Cisco switches.
  3. Prioritize tasks and projects across multiple teams and technologies.
  4. Demonstrate a solid Linux background and understanding.
  5. Lead and manage projects, expectations, and scope effectively.
  6. Provide superior customer service and support skills.
  7. Communicate effectively over the phone, email, and in-person.
  8. Ramp-up quickly on new technologies often without formal training.
  9. Knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 subnetting.
  10. Understand fundamental networking design within a multi-site enterprise environment.
  11. Experience with post-production real-time media encoding/decoding.
  12. Experience with WAN accelerated protocols such as Aspera, Signiant, Resilio, etc.
  13. Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premise network design and security is a plus.

Work Environment:

  1. Ability to comprehend and deliver complex solutions.
  2. Ability to outperform in a multi-vendor dynamic environment.
  3. Handle multiple high-priority time-sensitive deliverables.
  4. Work in a large integrated ecosystem with efficient stakeholder engagement.
  5. Hybrid work environment; candidate will need to be in the office 40-60% of the time.
  6. Ability to lift and rack equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
  7. Support multiple offices in the area, as well as multiple remote offices in other time zones and countries.
  8. Some travel may be required but is not mandatory.
  9. Primary point of contact for Internet Service Providers regarding maintenance, troubleshooting, outages, and service upgrades.

Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of experience in supporting Level 2 Help Desk tickets for Network and Security Operations.
  2. 8+ years of experience installing and configuring Check Point firewalls, setting up VPNs, and performing routine upgrades.
  3. 8+ years of experience designing and supporting layer 3 networks across multiple sites.
  4. 8+ years of experience managing network switches and other network devices.
  5. 8+ years of experience monitoring security devices and applications for performance problems.
  6. Previous experience working in the media/entertainment business is a plus.
  7. Education: Bachelor’s degree or advanced required.
  8. Cisco certified (CCNA – Mandatory, CCNP – Preferable). Checkpoint and Arista Certification a plus.
  9. Existing IT support skills and experience commensurate with position requirements.
