Job purpose

Evelyn Partner's Digital Services are an integrated team, offering comprehensive solutions across three key areas: Technology, Cyber Security, and Data.  You’ll work alongside the technology and data teams to help our clients leverage the value from their technology and drive insights from data.  Your primary role will be to help our clients understand their current cyber risks, detect threats and vulnerabilities and critically, advise, develop and implement a robust set of cybersecurity measures that help protect their digital and data assets, ultimately protecting their business from cyber attacks.

Evelyn Partners Cyber Security team assists and enables all manner of clients from private clients to start ups to multi-national household name brands, so you’ll work with a variety of clients, across all industry sectors.

The successful candidate will thrive in complex environments and cope well with variety.  Be a self-starter and bring energy and professionalism to our client interactions.  Alongside being a cyber subject matter expert,  you will have a passion for contributing to growth of our practice whilst taking an active role in maintaining practice knowledge of industry trends in order to inform and drive practice and service development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and business partners.
  • Devise options and solutions in relation to a variety of complex problems in a range of security and business-related topic areas.
  • Coach colleagues and clients across all grade levels (mentoring and reverse mentoring).
  • Anticipate and identify colleague and client needs and develop strategies to assist.
  • Develop methodologies and ways of working.
  • Train colleagues in use of methodologies.
  • Contribute to professional development pathways for practice members.
  • Represent the firm and practice at industry events and in professional networks
  • Contribute to thought leadership and market ‘voice’ of the practice.
  • Act as a key subject matter in one or more domains of security expertise, e.g. GRC, strategy, programme leadership and delivery, architecture, engineering, solutions design, offensive / defensive security, incident investigations, crisis leadership, threat services, CISO services, etc.
  • Work with other expert teams and across our CLA Global network, including on international engagements with colleagues from other member firms
  • Identify and lead opportunities for client work
  • Lead and contribute to proposals, scoping exercises, and fee estimation
  • Take ownership of budget management on client engagements

 


Qualifications

Key Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience using common frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO27k, CIS, ISF’s SoGP, etc.
  • Practical experience of helping clients understand their cyber risk and threat exposure through delivering cyber maturity reviews, producing meaningful observations and practical recommendations.
  • Experience helping organisation to design and implement cyber strategy, and transformation change programmes to drive security improvements.
  • Hands on technical experience in one or more of; threat detection, penetration testing and vulnerability management, cloud security, application security, security operations, SIEM/SOAR solutions, end-point protection.
  • Significant experience, briefing and presenting to senior audiences and answering questions
  • Demonstrable evidence of business development with a successful sales track record.

Professional Qualifications and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field; or equivalent combination of education/professional experience in a similar role
  • One of more professional certifications desired:
  • CISSP, SANS GIAC etc, Prince 2, MSP, CISM, CISA, IAPP certifications, Cloud vendor security certifications, others considered.
