Rockstar is on the lookout for a Senior Game Security Operations Manager to join our Live Services Integrity team. In this dynamic role you’ll be committed to ensuring our games and services remain secure and enjoyable by protecting against cheaters, vulnerabilities, and exploits.

You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing processes to continuously strengthen our game security programme, mitigating threats to the player experience while evolving the efficacy of our enforcement and operations teams.

This is a full-time, permanent and in-office position based in Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of London.

WHAT WE DO

  • The Rockstar Live Services Integrity team is responsible for protecting our players, employees, and intellectual property.
  • We support all Rockstar titles from malicious actors and insider threats.
  • We work closely with other teams to enforce, support, and improve security solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage a talented and cross functional team of game security analysts engaged in day-to-day anti-cheat operations for our online titles.
  • Leverage extensive technical experience to provide direction and develop process around internal technical analysis of cheats, hacks, and other malicious third-party software targeted at our products.
  • Lead and guide our internal threat intelligence team to identify trends and provide insightful reporting for cheating and associated threat areas.
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of key risk and performance indicators in partnership with our analytics and insights team.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on game, platform, and business teams internally.
  • Partner closely with product management, production, and leadership to define technology, tooling, and process advancements required to protect the online player experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in game security, anti-cheat, anti-fraud, or related security functions.
  • 3+ years of experience leading high performing teams, particularly in geographically dispersed locations.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Experience supporting the ongoing operations of a live service or large-scale AAA multiplayer game.
  • Knowledge of client-server and peer-to-peer gaming architectures.

SKILLS

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and a strong track record interfacing with technical and non-technical personnel at a variety of levels.
  • Strong ability to translate goals at a strategic business level into actionable, operational objectives.
  • Ability to achieve consensus and alignment of stakeholders across diverse disciplines.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to distil complex and nuanced issues into structured frameworks and processes.
  • A passion for building resilient, competent, and co-operative teams.

PLUSES

Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.

  • Experience with modern client security features (DRM, anti-cheat).
  • Knowledge of credential stuffing and bot mitigation.
  • Knowledge of machine learning or business rule approaches for cheat, fraud, or bot detection.
  • Experience with rigorous documentation requirements (e.g. investigations, analysis, regulatory compliance, etc.)
