I’m recruiting for an innovative fintech company seeking a security expert to lead DevSecOps and protect their digital and financial assets. This role will be integral in establishing a “security-first” approach, embedding security into CI/CD workflows, and safeguarding transactional systems. Ideal candidates have deep experience in cloud-native security architecture, compliance, and automation across AWS and GCP.

Job Title: DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Middle East Relocation

Term:Permanent

Salary: £90k-£120k

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate across teams to instil a "security-first" mindset, making security an integral part of the development process and empowering teams to create secure products from the ground up.
• Implement security protocols within CI/CD pipelines to embed robust security measures seamlessly into our development workflow.
• Conduct thorough security reviews for all new and updated systems, platforms, and applications, maintaining the highest standards of protection.
• Safeguard the integrity of our payment systems and financial transactions, and establish a strong security framework to support our financial ecosystem.
• The cybersecurity landscape evolves quickly—stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies to ensure that our security measures remain up-to-date and effective.

Role Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in Security, with expertise in cloud security, security architecture & design, and DevSecOps practices.
• Proven success in designing secure architectures for large-scale, cloud-native applications.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices across multiple security layers.
• Background in securing payment systems and ensuring compliance with financial industry standards.
• Experience in high-volume, high-transaction business environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Kubernetes expertise.
• Advanced skills in coding and security process automation.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
