With the acquisition of Tessian by Proofpoint we're looking forward to rapidly expanding our customer base. This will result in a 10-30x increase in our traffic. We're looking for people that will help us manage that growth.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of Data Engineers and Backend Engineers to build out infrastructure, data pipelines and products. We view this role as a hugely impactful, high-leverage role since data is the core asset of our company. By building the needed tools and infrastructure you'll be enabling our data science and feature development teams to build better products and deliver more value to our clients through the data breaches we prevent.

Responsibilities

Develop scalable and efficient data pipelines which can collect and transform our raw email datasets Support and maintain or existing data infrastructure Effectively collaborate with MLOps, platform and feature development teams Building feature processing pipelines which can be used to create and test new features as part of machine learning experiments Developing a clear understanding of our data platform cost and propose solutions to optimize it.

Qualifications

Deep understanding of data processing and storage technologies (S3, Kafka, Spark, ETL, OpenSearch, etc.) Experience in working with distributed systems with high data volumes. Knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably Python) Team player and effective communicator
