Security Engineer Location: Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 plus additional earnings! Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent   We are recruiting on behalf of a national leader in providing comprehensive security solutions, trusted by clients across various high-profile sectors, including government and law enforcement. As a preferred partner for Ministry of Justice (MOJ) sites, they specialise in providing advanced security systems and services that ensure safety, compliance, and peace of mind. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Security Engineer to join their residential team and support the security infrastructure of Ministry of Justice and other contracts.   What’s on offer for a Security Engineer? The role of a Security Engineer: As a Residential Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in servicing, maintaining, fault finding and repairing of a range of security systems. Your work will ensure the ongoing safety and security of these critical sites, which require a high level of diligence, attention to detail, and compliance with stringent security standards.   Key Responsibilities: Install, service, fault find, repair and maintain residential security systems at Ministry of Justice sites, including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and other security devices. Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure systems are operating at optimal levels. Respond to emergency service calls, diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently and effectively. Adhere to all security protocols and Ministry of Justice guidelines to ensure compliance with security and safety standards. Ensure all installations and services are completed in line with the agreed project timelines and to the highest technical standards. Complete necessary documentation for each job, including installation reports, service records, and certification. Work closely with the client and site managers to ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns or queries. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times due to the sensitive nature of the sites. Stay up to date with security industry trends and any changes to relevant legislation or government guidelines. Requirements: Proven experience as a Security Engineer, with specific experience in residential security systems (CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, etc.). Knowledge of relevant security and fire safety regulations, including those specific to government and Ministry of Justice sites. Experience working on high-security or sensitive environments is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow security protocols meticulously. Full UK driving license. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Relevant security qualifications (such as SSAIB, NSI, or equivalent) are desirable.
