Job Title: Security Engineer

Job Description

The Security Engineer will support and maintain SolarWinds, a cyber monitoring software, and work with Axonius, a cybersecurity asset management platform. You will contribute to high-level and low-level design documentation while applying an architecture-focused mindset. Prior experience in architecture design is beneficial but not mandatory. You will provide general support and maintenance for security tools and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Create architectures including High-Level Design and Low-Level Design. Develop a Service Architecture encompassing operational runbooks, service descriptions, KPIs, and KRIs. Design business as usual processes. Take ownership of business as usual break-fix and enhancement activities. Work outside of business hours to perform changes. Collaborate with vendors to drive initiatives. Run-the-bank support and proactive system management. Navigate and configure Axonius by adding or removing assets. Occasional patching required on Saturdays, approximately two Saturdays every other month.

Essential Skills

Security expertise. Familiarity with Axonius and SolarWinds. Understanding of architecture design. Proactive and eager to learn. Comfortable working independently and taking initiative. Capability to contribute to architectural design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in regulated industries such as banking or finance is highly valued. Previous architecture design experience is advantageous.
