Job Title: Firewall Security EngineerLocation: Manchester - Onsite 2 days per weekRemuneration: Up to £650/dayContract Details: 6 Month Contract - Potential for ExtensionResponsibilities:Join our dynamic firewall infrastructure team as a Firewall Security Engineer! You will play a crucial role in executing build activities for our firewall devices using cutting-edge R81 configurations. Expect to:Deliver project tasks with precision and on time, ensuring our firewall systems are robust and effective.Conduct compliance and audit checks for new firewalls to maintain our high standards.Collaborate closely with senior team members to resolve technical issues swiftly.Plan and implement sophisticated configuration tasks, keeping security at the forefront. Key Skills and Experience:We are looking for a technical whiz with the following skills:Certifications: CCSE/CCSA certification or equivalent experience with Checkpoint Firewalls.Networking Knowledge: Proficiency in Cisco Networks is highly desirable.Hands-On Experience: Background in larger enterprise environments, with the ability to manage and implement changes effectively.Problem Solving: Strong technical problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.Agile Familiarity: Understanding of Jira and Agile working practises is a plus.Regulatory Awareness: While not essential, familiarity with regulated environments is advantageous.
