JOB TITLE: Security Compliance Officer

LOCATION: London Heathrow Airport/Occasional travel to UK Airports 

WORK PATTERN: Monday to Sunday – 5 on 2 off , 40 hours per week

REPORTING TO: Head of Security

SALARY: Competitive

OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION

The security compliance officer will be responsible for conducting compliance monitoring throughout the security functions in aviation that ABM provide. This involves rotating between different sites on and off airport observing, assessing, and coaching agents ensuring they are completing their roles to a government required standard and in some cases to an airline standard too. The opportunity will allow the successful applicants to work with high-profile clients within aviation with exposure to working in a face pace, forever evolving, and changing environment.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

·       Responsible for conducting compliance monitoring on and off airport on agents who conduct any security searches

·       Responsible for conducting covert testing on any security searches

·       Collating all monitoring data and complete data analysis on findings

·       Generate reports from data and feed any trends to the Head of Security

·       Generate data from convert testing

·       Be an expert on all security searches

·       Coach and re-train agents in all security search areas

·       Observing all areas where a security search is done (catering, secure clean, man guarding etc)

·       Effectively manage all data

·       Build effective relationship with the operational teams and agents

·       Develop and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders

·       During inspections and audits, compliance officer will support Head of Security and operational team as/when required

·       Provide effective and engaging leadership to the frontline agents

·       Extract learning from reports and work with Head of Security for rectification actions

·       Understand the regulator approach

·       Work closely with Training Team to maintain knowledge and compliance.

·       Leading in investigations for missed test pieces/missed items.

·       Conducting workshops for agents

·       Expanding covert testing through our security functions

·       Building inhouse data analysis and supporting the development of the compliance app

·       Supporting in the development of new material for training

·       Creating internal reports for trends directly linked to missed test pieces or missed items.

·       Creating and developing new initiatives to promote aviation security.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

·       Experience working in a regulated environment

·       Knowledge in operational security aviation

·       Experience in excel, data analysis

·       Understanding of compliance regulations

·       Able to attain and retain an airside pass, including counter terrorist check

·       Good communication skills and ability to adapt to a changing environment

·       Driving license (both manual and automatic)
