Interim Security Architect - Financial Services

Robert Half is recruiting on behalf of a global consulting firm for an experienced Security Architect to become an associate for the consulting firm on a large-scale cybersecurity programme for a major financial services organisation. The focus is on firewall governance, network segmentation, and architectural assurance across multiple security domains.

Key Details:

  • Start:ASAP (c.2 week lead time for onboarding and paperwork)
  • Location:Hybrid - 1 day per week onsite in City of London
  • Duration:Initial 6-month contract, strong likelihood of extension
  • Rate:£600/day viaPAYE(PLUS 12.07% holiday pay)(PAYE with employer's NI & tax deducted at source - no umbrella company admin fees)

Requirements:

  • Proven experience insecurity architecture reviewsand embedding security into technical solution design
  • Strong expertise infirewall rule set reviews, including standard, next-gen, and virtualised platforms
  • Ability to design and managesecure connectivity and segmentation patternsaligned with policy
  • Experience validating firewall rules against approved zoning and segmentation models
  • Able to lead small teams, oversee analyst output, and provide technical assurance to stakeholders
  • Comfortable working across cyber functions tooperationalise security processes and controls
  • Experience inlegacy system analysis, identifying architectural risks and proposing improvements
  • Ability to create and deliverknowledge transfer materialand process documentation
  • Must have experience working in financial services, ideally within banking
