Our Client is dedicated to ensuring that the nation has the essential energy it needs, balancing supply and demand every second of every day. As we expand our Security team, we are excited to invite talented Security & Technology Assurance Analysts to join our organisation for a temporary contract of 6 months.


Role: Security Analyst

Duration: 6 Months (extension options)

Location: Wokingham or Warwick (Hybrid 1 day in office)

Rate: £600 per day (umbrella)


About the Role:

In this crucial role, you will collaborate with a rapidly expanding and high-functioning Security team. Your expertise will help deliver a comprehensive Security & Technology Assurance function that protects our operations and infrastructure. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to support our assurance strategy, conduct testing, identify security risks, and evaluate controls across critical national infrastructure (CNI) and IT environments.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the execution of the end-to-end Security & Technology Assurance framework to identify and manage security risks.
  • Conduct assurance testing to mitigate potential disruptions to the business.
  • Collaborate with the ESO Security team to develop and monitor remediation plans throughout the NESO Security Controls Framework.
  • Liaise with key business units to understand potential impacts of security and technology assurance.
  • Develop metrics and reporting for security risks, presenting findings to senior management.
  • Stay informed about legislative changes and current threats to our controls framework.
  • Foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, promoting a proactive security culture.

About You:

  • You possess a solid understanding of Security & Technology Assurance practises.
  • You will be eligible for SC Clearance.
  • You have a knack for translating complex cyber security guidance into clear, business-relevant documentation.
  • You excel at engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including vendors and cross-business partners.
  • Your analytical skills allow you to source, analyse, and draw insightful conclusions from data.
  • You understand the cyber risks posed to CNI through IT, OT, and physical environments.
  • You have exceptional organisational skills and an eye for detail.
