Sales Manager, Derry/Londonderry Office
Up to £70k base, with an OTE of £120k

Are you a driven sales leader ready to make your mark in the cybersecurity space?

We are recruiting for a unique Sales Manager opportunity, on behalf of our valued client- a fast-growing cybersecurity consultancy that’s on a mission to protect SMEs from cyber threats.

The reality? Big enterprises can afford sophisticated cybersecurity, but SMEs are often left exposed because of cost and complexity. This company is filling that gap with affordable, practical, agile solutions for clients in Technology, Telecoms, Manufacturing, Utilities, and Life Sciences across the UK and Ireland.

Why this role is different:

  • Hands-on & leadership combined- you’ll be actively driving new business with SMEs across the UK and Ireland, while leading, coaching, and growing a small sales team (currently two BDMs, with plans to double).

  • Early-stage energy- this is startup life: fast-moving, open, honest, and messy at times. If you thrive in that environment, the career progression here is massive, including equity opportunities.

  • Strategic impact- you’ll report directly to the CEO and help shape the sales strategy and future growth.

    What you’ll have:

  • 5+ years B2B sales, 2+ years at sales management level, ideally in selling professional/consulting services

  • Strong track record of closing complex SME deals

  • Confidence in negotiating profitable contracts that balance value & affordability

  • Experience with HubSpot/Active Campaign (or similar)

  • A self-motivated leader who thrives in a no-nonsense, open culture

  • Ideally located close to the Derry/Londonderry office, with flexibility to travel

    What’s on offer:

  • Competitive base salary up to £70k with an OTE of £120k.

  • Equity potential as the business scales.

  • Advanced sales tools to make your life easier.

  • A vibrant, ambitious culture with real growth potential.

Why Cyber Security Careers in the UK Are Becoming More Multidisciplinary

Cyber security used to be viewed primarily as a technical discipline: firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection, penetration testing. In the UK today, it’s far broader. Organisations now face complex legal frameworks, ethical dilemmas, human-behaviour risks, communication challenges & usability hurdles. This shift means cyber security careers are becoming more multidisciplinary. From protecting NHS patient records to defending financial services, securing supply chains & safeguarding national infrastructure, cyber security now touches every sector. Employers increasingly want professionals who understand law, ethics, psychology, linguistics & design alongside traditional technical skills. In this article, we’ll explore why UK cyber security careers are expanding in this way, how these five disciplines shape the profession, and what job-seekers & employers need to know to thrive in this new landscape.

But defending against cyber threats isn’t simply about having the right tools — it’s about having the right team. The United Kingdom is uniquely positioned to become a global cyber security jobs hub. With its strong tech sector, world-class universities, advanced defence capabilities, and established financial markets, the UK already has the foundations. The question is whether it can scale up, attract, and retain the right talent to meet global demand. This article explores why the UK is poised to become the world’s next cyber security jobs hub, the opportunities available, the challenges ahead, and what needs to happen for this vision to be realised.
