Job Responsibilities

  • Engage and build relationships with key customers to promote and define product requirements and roadmaps.
  • Use technical expertise with demonstrated urgency to support business development and sales primes with near-term revenue opportunities when required.

Inward facing role

  • Own the product/portfolio lifecycle including innovation and the different stages of product lifecycle management.

Job Requirements

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Minimally Required: Recent Product Management Ownership in PNT or related field.
  • Preferred/Specialised: Extensive past Product Management Ownership in PNT or related field.
  • Minimally Required: Proven core GNSS (or related discipline) engineering knowledge.
  • Preferred/Specialised: Recent professional background for technical engagement in GNSS or PNT (or related discipline) technology.

Influencing Organisations:

  • Minimally Required: Ability to get cross-functional teams on-side to deliver goals.
  • Preferred/Specialised: Experience of influencing upwards decision making to the exec level.

Proven Finisher:

  • Minimally Required: Referenceable track record of completion of key projects.
  • Preferred/Specialised: Ability to manage and complete multiple projects in parallel.

Attention to Detail for NPI Excellence:

  • Minimally Required: Experience of Product Realization Process (PRP) or Similar.
  • Preferred/Specialised: Clear examples of production of Market Requirement Documents and Business Cases with emphasis on technical services.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Minimally Required: Graduate Degree in RF, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Preferred/Specialised: Post Graduate Degree in RF, Electrical Engineering or related field.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will join a team of product managers responsible for the management of world-leading, innovative, state-of-the-art GNSS simulation and test solutions. This role focuses on solutions that are sold into our target markets including military, space, and commercial verticals. The product manager role will own the product life cycle from early stages of ideation through product release to end of life. Working closely with the PT engineering team, the role will bridge the BU to the customer's requirements ensuring that NPI is delivered on time to customer needs. Moreover, the successful candidate will need to be able to look across different product lines, identify synergies, and drive optimization. The role requires a good level of product knowledge and engineering expertise to successfully influence customers and internal Spirent PT functional groups. This must be blended with demonstrable commercial knowledge and market understanding to ensure product fit and build relationships with key customers.
