Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Principal Cybersecurity Sales Engineer to join our team and drive the success of our DataBee Security Data Fabric product. You will play a critical role in supporting the sales team in positioning and demonstrating the value of DataBee to potential customers. Your deep understanding of data manipulation in SQL and its role in supporting proof of values will be crucial in showcasing the capabilities and benefits of our solution. You will collaborate closely with customers, sales representatives, and technical teams to develop and deliver compelling demonstrations and presentations that highlight the unique features and advantages of DataBee. Job Description

In the role of Principal Sales Engineer, you will be a leader within Comcast Technology Solution’s exciting new cyber security business unit, which sells SaaS and subscription security solutions to large enterprises. Currently, two solutions, BluVector and DataBee, both used internally by the Comcast CISO organization, are sold by the business unit. These solutions are advanced threat detection, advanced threat hunting and security operations center and compliance offerings that improve security and compliance in a cost-effective manner. DataBee is the BU’s growth engine and is an innovative security & compliance data fabric platform, a new market segment rapidly replacing SIEM and other legacy security & compliance toolsets.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and create tailored demonstrations and presentations that highlight the value proposition of DataBee.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases and pain points related to security data management and manipulation and effectively position DataBee as the ideal solution.
  • Conduct technical product demonstrations, showcasing the data manipulation capabilities of DataBee using SQL, and effectively addressing customer questions and concerns.
  • Assist customers with proof of value activities by utilizing your expertise in data manipulation and SQL to showcase DataBee's ability to deliver measurable outcomes and meet specific business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams to provide feedback on customer requirements, product features, and enhancements to continually improve DataBee.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in security data management, data manipulation techniques, and SQL best practices, and effectively articulate their relevance to customers.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop technical proposals, respond to RFPs, and support the overall sales process, ensuring that DataBee is positioned as the preferred solution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, to ensure customer success and drive long-term business growth for DataBee.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior sales engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring consistent high-quality support to the sales team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar role, preferably in the cybersecurity or data management industry.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in data manipulation using SQL, including query design, data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or Databricks.
  • Solid understanding of security data management concepts, including threat intelligence, vulnerability management, or intrusion detection systems.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to address customer needs and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting sales efforts and driving revenue growth.
  • Ability to travel as needed to customer sites and industry events.
