We are seeking an experienced and dedicated OT security engineer to support our client in Liverpool, a leading supply chain and logistics company.
This position will focus on securing OT systems and infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable and secure operations for a CAF compliance upgrade.
You will be responsible for protecting critical assets from cyber threats, implementing security best practices and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

About the role

  1. Implementation of the OT Security Strategy within OT systems for a specific project, delivering security improvements across sites.
  2. Support in the operation of the ISMS (risk analyses, audits, selection and monitoring of measures, effectiveness checks, etc.)
  3. Convert security requirements into processes, technical documentation and work instructions.
  4. Conducting site cyber risk assessments and engagement in the site modification process to ensure compliance.
  5. Advising and supporting the plant management team in ISMS and OT security matters.
  6. Maintaining site system security through vulnerability reviews, patching and life cycle management.

Job Requirements and Experience

  1. Completed university or technical college studies in computer science, mathematics, engineering, natural sciences or comparable education.
  2. Very good process safety and safe systems of work understanding.
  3. Knowledge of one or more of the following control systems, Scada; experience working with Siemens systems would be an advantage.
  4. Relevant certification, CISSP, Security + etc., would be desirable.
  5. This role is hybrid and outside IR35; a successful candidate would be expected on site in Liverpool.
