Job Title: Senior Network Security EngineerLocation: Hammersmith, UK (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) also travel to client sites. Job Type: PermanentSalary: £70,000pa to £90,000paAre you an experienced Network Security Engineer ready to take on complex infrastructure challenges across both cloud and on-prem environments? We're looking for a hands-on specialist in firewalls, routing, and automation to help build secure, scalable, high-performing networks.What You'll Do:Design and implement robust network solutions across hybrid environments using protocols like BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.Configure and manage firewalls (e.G., Palo Alto, CheckPoint) and drive best-practice network security.Automate infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using SNMP, Syslog, Netflow, ELK Stack, and Grafana.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security architecture with operational goals.What We’re Looking For:5+ years in network security with strong expertise in routing, switching, and firewalls.Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Proficient in Python and familiar with IaC and GitOps methodologies.Deep understanding of Zero Trust principles, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, and SIEM tools.Strong Linux background and a passion for open-source technology.Nice to Have:Experience building internal tools or automation to streamline IT operations.Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
