Mechanical Project Manager – Life Sciences Project (Cambridge)
£80,000 + Benefits Package
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading M&E contractor delivering high-specification building services across multiple sectors. Due to continued growth and a recently secured project, they are now seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to take the lead on a flagship life sciences development based in Cambridge.
This is a key role within a well-structured team, offering the opportunity to work on technically complex projects in a fast-evolving sector. You’ll be responsible for managing the full mechanical scope of works from preconstruction through to final handover.
The Role

Take ownership of the mechanical package on a high-profile life sciences project
Oversee project planning, procurement, subcontractor management, and delivery
Collaborate closely with the wider project and client teams to ensure targets are met
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and programme requirements
Coordinate commissioning and manage handover documentation What We're Looking For

Proven track record delivering mechanical building services on large-scale projects
Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or similarly complex environments preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive delivery
Ability to interpret drawings, coordinate subcontractors and manage commercial aspects
Comfortable working in a client-facing role and reporting into senior leadership What’s On Offer
