Marketing Copywriter
The Opportunity
At Rapid7, we have a robust Content Team to cover our diverse business practices. We’re currently seeking a skilled writer to help us bring various product and industry narratives to life.
The Team
As a Marketing Copywriter, you will partner with teams across the business (like Product Marketing and Research teams) to deliver copy for webpages, downloadable content, and more. This role lives within the larger Creative Team and will play an integral part amplifying Rapid7’s brand and reach.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering copy in various formats that promotes thought leadership across topics like detection and response technology, managed security services, exposure management, and more.
In this role, you will:
Write insightful, succinct marketing copy for a variety of vehicles: short and long form blogs and eBooks, landing pages, product and features pages, compliance briefs, and more! You’ll work on projects both big and small, conceptual to straightforward
Specifically, you’ll partner with other copywriters to craft compelling website pages that communicate brand messaging, drive product conversations and enhance user experience
Partner with Product Marketing to take highly technical content and transform it into digestible stories that reach the wider cybersecurity community
Partner with Digital Marketing on short and long term SEO initiatives across various website domains
Partner with designers to bring your writing to life and ensure consistency across templates
Ensure all content is consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, and video
Test copy on creative executions and learn what resonates with target audience for future applications
Work within existing brand guidelines while knowing when to flex them to meet objectives or create new ones where none exist
The skills you’ll bring include:
5+ years of writing experience, preferably in the B2B technology/SaaS space.
Must have a portfolio of high-quality, long and short-form content.
Ability to adapt writing style to varying target audiences and content formats.
Strong SEO research skills.
Self-starter and independent, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple disparate workstreams.
Ability to think strategically about complex problems and provide insightful recommendations, action plans, and outcomes.
Team player with a collaborative mindset.
University degree or equivalent practical experience.
