Life Sciences will play a pivotal role in establishing and expanding Akkodis Life Sciences business unit in the UK. This role requires a leader with deep clinical expertise and a strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying a national strategy, building, and scaling a high-performing team, managing a full P&L, and driving business development initiatives to ensure rapid market entry and sustained growth.The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical operations, managed services, and consulting, with a proven track record of launching and expanding Life Sciences business units. This leader will work closely with global stakeholders, leveraging Akkodis extensive network to drive collaboration and innovation in clinical services and healthcare data solutions.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a national strategy to establish and expand the Life Sciences business unit, ensuring alignment with global objectives and market needs.Apply clinical and healthcare expertise to create and deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of healthcare clients and partners, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry best practices.Build, lead, and develop a structured team of Business Managers and professionals at various levels to drive and execute the growth strategy effectively.Take full accountability for the business units P&L, overseeing budget management, cost control, and revenue growth to ensure long-term financial sustainability.Lead the initial market entry phase by identifying new business opportunities, securing strategic partnerships, and driving long-term client relationships that position Akkodis as a key player in the Life Sciences sector.Establish and strengthen relationships with clients, service partners, and global stakeholders to enhance collaboration, drive new business, and maintain service excellence.Work closely with Akkodis international teams and Centres of Excellence to leverage existing partnerships and expertise in managed services, consulting, and clinical data solutions.Collaborate with the Practice Lead organisational structure, working closely with the technical leadership team to support tender responses, bids, and the creation of work packages or work units tailored to client needs.Oversee client service agreements, ensuring successful project delivery, customer satisfaction, and long-term contract value.Provide executive-level insights and recommendations to senior leadership through performance monitoring and reporting, utilising data-driven approaches to support strategic decision-making.Required ExperienceExtensive experience in clinical operations, managed services, or consulting within the Life Sciences sector.Proven track record in developing and executing national business strategies.Experience leading a business unit from inception to growth.Demonstrated success in P&L management and financial oversight.Experience managing service agreements and delivering large-scale clinical projects, particularly in healthcare data and consulting.History of working with global teams and external partners to drive collaboration.Prior experience working with clinical organisations, CROs, or healthcare consulting firms is highly desirable.Required SkillsStrong strategic planning and execution skills.Excellent leadership and people management abilities.Outstanding stakeholder engagement and relationship management.Commercial acumen with experience in P&L management.Strong negotiation and business development capabilities.Deep understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape in Life Sciences.Effective communication and influencing skills.Problem-solving and analytical mindset.Required EducationBachelor's or Masters degree in Life Sciences, Business Management, or a related field.8-10+ years of experience in a leadership role within the Life Sciences industry, clinical operations, managed services, or consulting.Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
