Our client is a UK national services provider with it's head office in West Yorkshire.
Due to increased investment in their Cyber Security function, they are looking to hire an experienced Lead Security Architect to support the ongoing security transformation of the business.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of IT professionals in the development, deployment, and maintenance of secure IT architecture and governance, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and standards. Maximise the value and utilisation of security solutions. Define and promote security best practices in solution design to minimise risks and encourage the adoption of standard functionality. The role emphasises leadership, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering professional development within the team. Develop internal strategies to advance technology investments with a focus on secure design practices, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon architectures, patterns, and governance standards. As the recognised expert, contribute to maximising the value of both internal and external resources to deliver optimal solutions at the highest standard.
Experience:
Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale solution delivery, preferably in a relevant sector, in a senior architectural role. Strong skills in people management, with the ability to mentor and inspire team members. Proficiency in articulating business master data requirements related to solution design. Familiarity with architectural roles, domains, methodologies, and design strategies. Experience with formal structured methodologies for solution design. Previous involvement in technical leadership for a team of senior technical roles, providing direction and influence for task completion. Experience in developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships at senior levels within an organisation. Ability to demonstrate determination and drive for sustainable out-performance, meeting industry benchmarks and metrics. Effective prioritisation and execution of tasks in a dynamic, changing environment, with sound decision-making in emergency situations. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical information effectively to diverse audiences. Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Ownership of issues or projects on behalf of the management team. Strong organisational and personal management skills. A sense of purpose, proactively seeking responsibility and ownership. High motivation and self-reliance, with a commitment to continuous development and a strong customer service ethos. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Extensive knowledge of the system development life-cycle. Understanding of enterprise solutions. High standards of integrity and ethics.
Offer:
Base Salary : £80,000 - £100,000 (negotiable depending on experience) Bonus : 10% Benefits : Pension, Healthcare, Life Assurance, etc
Role requires the chosen individual to be present one day every two weeks in the West Yorkshire head office.
