Alarm Communications Limited are a leading team of fire protection, commercial security and building management systems specialists, with our Head Office located in Surrey. Our client base is predominantly built of prestigious buildings and landmarks, such as high-end hotels, stadia and education establishments in and around Greater London. We are currently looking to appoint a new Junior Fire & Security Engineer specifically covering the Frimley & surrounding region.

Basic Salary - Up To £30,000 Subject To Experience

Overtime, Travel Time & Call-out

The role is process orientated; you will liaise regularly with the Clients, Service Manager, Contract Manager(s) and all Engineers, working as part of a small team of engineers within an ISO accredited environment and will need to demonstrate a genuine capacity for process adherence and process improvement.

  • You will be an integral part of the existing Fire & Security Engineering team, looking after large-scale and prestigious customer sites.
  • The role will look after a select list of systems on key accounts therefore the role will be varied and multi-disciplined. Systems vary and range from Morley IAS, Cortech Datalog, Advanced, Panasonic, Abloy ARX, Paxton, Texecom, Galaxy.
  • The sites will all be long-term prestigious contracts, so the works must be completed to the highest possible standard.
  • Our Engineers are given time, support and resource to install and commission systems correctly, with extensive training provided to achieve expert status with our primary systems.
  • You may be asked to assist with works on larger projects to ensure that the work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • The Company will expect you to perform other duties relevant to the job title, for example supervising trainees and adapting to the business needs and requirement changes.

  • Our Junior Engineers are required to have an amount of experience on Fire and/or Security Systems and Alarms expert across a range of different products and manufacturers. The level of experience will determine your overall responsibilities and remuneration.
  • Electrically competent; ideally with some formal training such as an electrical apprenticeship.
  • Experience of maintaining and fault-finding Systems.
  • Proven customer support experience.
  • Track record of over-achieving quota.
  • Familiar with windows software systems and practices.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
  • You must have a full, UK drivers license.
