This position plays a critical role in safeguarding Interpath and our clients against cyber threats and is ideal for a recent graduate or individual passionate about cyber security and risk management. The role will involve a broad exposure across security GRC, engineering and operations; helping to underpin many of the departments key processes and initiatives. The role offers a growing and dynamic environment to develop technical expertise and contribute to the continuous improvement of Interpath’s security.

Key Accountabilities:

The role will primarily focus on Security Governance, Risk and Compliance activities that help underpin the maturity of our information security programme, primarily:

  • Controls & Risk assessments and improvements
  • Access Governance
  • Third-party risk management
  • Employee training and awareness
  • Asset and vulnerability management
  • Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 and other frameworks

Supporting various operational security initiatives such as email security / phishing, environment monitoring & hardening, security tooling, security testing and SOC activity.

Working closely with the Information Security team and various IT peers. Will also build relationships with several key functions such as Data Protection and Risk & Compliance.

  • A Degree in Information/Cyber Security related field OR a demonstrable passion for the industry.
  • A general sense of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
  • Reasonable level of technical literacy including O365 and Microsoft technology.

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, use initiative and propose solutions.
  • A high level of professionalism and strong work ethic. Has an enthusiastic ‘roll your sleeves up’ mentality.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Team player – ability to fit in with team and interpath colleagues.
  • Strong passion for Cyber with the desire to develop and grow.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Great communication skills and great stakeholder management skills. Be a “people person”.

Desirable Criteria:

  • This is an entry-level role, but previous experience in the field will be beneficial.
  • Work experience, placements or internships that showcase your ability to work in a professional environment.
