What you will be doing

As the Information Governance Manager, you will be the organisation's lead expert on information governance, providing strategic leadership, advice, and assurance on compliance with information governance laws and best practices. You will develop and maintain a robust information governance framework, monitor compliance, and manage information security risks. Your role includes advising senior leadership and governance committees, supporting incident response to minimise impact, and driving continuous improvement in information governance standards.

What skills and experience you need

Expert-level knowledge of information governance, data protection, and access to information legislation and frameworks.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining information governance frameworks within complex organisations.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
High personal resilience, integrity, and a consultative approach to working with staff and stakeholders.
A genuine commitment to doing the right thing and overcoming barriers to improvement.
