An exciting position has arisen for a Head of IT to work an established business in West Bromwich. Permanent paying up to £75,000 base + bonus

Your new role:

You'll play a central role in driving the growth of two of the Group's key brands as well as the overall group brand of this global organisation.

The Head of IT will oversee and manage the organisation's IT infrastructure, systems, and teams, ensuring the smooth running of all technology operations. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving the strategic direction of IT, enhancing system performance, and ensuring the organisation remains aligned with the latest technological advancements. You will play a key role in supporting business growth, improving efficiency, and ensuring secure and reliable IT systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing our outsourced IT services, ensuring that third-party providers meet our service level expectations and align with business needs.

Your new role:

This role is to develop and implement a comprehensive and forward-thinking IT strategy aligned with business objectives whilst leading and managing the IT department to ensure optimal service delivery.

You will lead, mentor, and build a high-performing IT team, providing coaching and development opportunities covering the UK and Offshore teams.

Work with 3rd parties to ensure stability, security, and scalability of the organisation's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services.

A key part of this role is to identify and implement innovative technologies that drive business improvement, competitive advantage, and operational efficiency, whether that be generative AI or utilising emerging and exciting new technologies on the market.

What you'll need to succeed:

Ideally, a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. However, time served equivalent experience will be considered.

At least 5-7 years in an IT leadership role, with a track record of success in managing IT teams, infrastructure, and strategic IT initiatives.

Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or PMP are highly desirable as is worked experience in a product-related organisation and proven experience managing outsourced IT services and vendor relationships.

Experience of Microsoft Navision or Business Central alongside experience of AutoStore or similar automated warehousing is highly desirable but not essential as training will be given.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead a diverse IT team and collaborate effectively with senior management and other departments.

Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data management, and enterprise software is essential in this role.
