Head of Data Management - National Organisation – Central London / Hybrid - £100k+ (DoE) + benefits

We are on the hunt for an experienced Data Management Specialist, with solid experience in data migration, data warehouses and reporting to join a fabulous organisation based in Central London and head up the Data team.

Joining a well-established and successful organisation, the Head of Data Management will drive the long-term data strategy to ensure a data-centric approach is taken by the entire company.

Suitable candidates will be tech savvy with a keen interest in AI and the ability to grasp new and evolving technology quickly and efficiently. Experience leading data teams is essential for this challenging and fast-paced role.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading and delivering the data strategy for the entire organisation
Managing all data related projects
Leading a team of data specialists
Establishing and facilitating suitable data governance framework
Maintaining data security and mitigating risk
Supporting GDPR compliance
Managing data reporting and analytics
Implementing and managing best practice procedures and good data management

What we’re looking for:
Extensive senior level experience in data management including data migration, data warehouses and reporting
Strong team leader experience in a fast-paced, professional services environment
Excellent technology skills and a keen interest in AI
A degree / qualification in a relevant subject is advantageous (IT, Computer Science, Information Security etc)
Experience managing vast data sets
Data lifecycle management knowledge
Knowledge and experience of meeting data governance requirements
Solid knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act
Excellent project management capabilities
Strategic and innovative approach
Excellent communication skills at all levels and with non-technical colleagues
Forward-thinking and collaborative approach
Good commercial acumen
The ability to quickly gain credibility, be a data management expert and influence at a senior level
