Graduate Digital IC Design Engineer – ASIC & Mixed-Signal Focus

Are you a driven final-year Electronics Engineering student with a passion for digital design, ASIC development, and high-performance hardware systems? Join a specialist team working at the forefront of custom IC design and innovation.

We are looking for a Graduate Digital IC Design Engineer to join our experienced engineering group. You'll contribute to the design and development of bespoke, high-reliability ASICs for applications in safety-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and verification of digital IP blocks for mixed-signal ASICs

  • Participate in the complete ASIC development flow from RTL to GDSII

  • Collaborate with analog/mixed-signal engineers to integrate digital and analog components seamlessly

  • Support FPGA prototyping and validation on custom evaluation platforms

  • Perform timing analysis, power estimation, and functional verification using industry-standard EDA tools

  • Contribute to customer-focused project delivery in a structured, ISO-certified development environment

    What We’re Looking For

  • MEng in Electronics Engineering (or related), graduating Summer 2025

  • Strong academic record (expecting 1st class) with modules in Digital Design, Computer Architecture, and Communications

  • Experience in RTL design using VHDL or SystemVerilog

  • Knowledge of ASIC flows: synthesis, place & route, simulation, and test

  • Familiarity with tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Design Compiler, ModelSim, or equivalent

  • Exposure to FPGA platforms (e.g., Xilinx Zynq or Intel Cyclone) is advantageous

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

    Nice to Have

  • Internship or placement experience in IC or SoC design

  • Hands-on project experience with RISC-V or ARM-based digital systems

  • Interest in low-power design, high-reliability systems, or embedded digital control
