Role Overview
As a Domestic Assistant (Homemaker) at Cedar Lodge, you will be placed at the heart of the home along with the people that live here.  You will be responsible for the general cleanliness and tidiness within the home as well as the communal areas. Part of your duties will be to assist those working within the laundry to ensure clothes are washed, ironed, and neatly put away for everyone that lives in Cedar Lodge.  It is vital that you have some understanding of COSHH regulations. 

Responsibilities and Duties

To clean all allocated rooms, including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment.
To work in co-operation with the Home Manager in maintaining standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the Care Home.
Represent the Cedar Lodge brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
Attend and actively contribute to team meetings.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the overall functioning of the home.
 
Skills, Qualifications and Abilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience within a similar environment desirable
NVQ Level 2 in housekeeping (or equivalent) or a willingness to complete this qualification if not already obtained.
Ability to work on a 7-day rota which will include weekends
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
