What You'll Bring:

We're looking for a Data Privacy Analyst to deliver data protection best practice, data governance, and data management.

Day to Day You’ll Be: 

Ensuring new and existing products/services comply with regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

Supporting with the preparation of risk assessments relating to data use, including Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs).

Reporting on risks, issues and performance to the Senior Data Privacy Manager.

Monitoring data incidents and assisting with investigation and root cause analysis.

Engaging with a range of stakeholders to improve data protection and data governance, and ensuring they are adequately supported in their roles as Data Stewards and Data Users.

Maintaining the data asset catalogue.

Helping to ensure the use of data assets adheres to the Data Governance Framework, relevant policies, standards and controls.

Serving as a point of escalation for data governance, data management, data quality and data use issues, working closely with stakeholders to improve the value of data assets, while maintaining compliance with regulations.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Knowledge and understanding of the GDPR / Data Protection Act, as well as other relevant legislation and regulations.

Financial industry experience.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of technical and non-technical business stakeholders.

Ability to articulate a business issue without resorting to technical language.

Organisation and time management

Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Knowledge and experience of information life-cycle management.

Desirable Skills:

 Educated to degree level, or otherwise suitable experience

Privacy credentials (e.g. CIPP)
