Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit a Data Analyst

Our client is a leading Customer Experience Research Agency based in Huddersfield. They work in the market research industry with many large blue-chip clients. They currently have an opportunity for a Data Analyst to work on some of their many interesting and exciting projects. They are looking for an Analyst who is efficient, logical and has a consistent approach to identifying and processing large amounts of data.

A logical thinker with great attention to detail who is enthusiastic and willing to learn.

Job Purpose: Manage the successful delivery of cleaned & accurate data from different sources to enable the smooth and automated process of producing data ready for research and reporting. Manage the process of cleansing databases as efficiently as possible before surveying customers.

Essential requirements:

Produce on time/right first-time reports and the ability to run automated reports in your team

Thorough knowledge of advanced excel

Excellent attention to detail and takes responsibility for the accuracy of their work

You can plan, prioritise and manage your own workload and balance multiple projects to meet tight deadlines and are motivated to work under your own initiative.

Ability to work as a team member, good at collaborating and sharing tasks with colleagues. You take pride in supporting the team in delivering high quality work.

Have the ability to learn new systems quickly

Good communications skills face to face and in writing

General Role / Key skills

Learn how to use/ increase experience using VBA to write scripts and clean databases ready for surveying

Advanced Excel skills

Use of VBA and SQL, not essential but must be willing to learn

Develop your skills in all types of automation through training and practice

Write and maintain clear documentation

Create ad-hoc/ summary reports in an agile manner when requested on time and error free

Confidently answer any questions colleagues may have about the data

Communicate to relevant people project deadlines and monitor closely the progress of work on your project by colleagues to ensure deadlines are met.

Understand the time costed for each of your projects and deliver the best value research analysis and reporting within the time allocated.

To keep all automated reports up to date and accurate

Identify areas to increase efficiency by setting up and maintaining automated processes

Ability to manage own workload and adhere to strict deadlines

Knowledge of data legislation helpful, but must be willing to learn from training provided

Being part of the Data Team:

Communicate any issues relating to your projects back to relevant colleagues and line manager

Always look for more efficient ways of analysing and reporting your projects

Make sure that all project work is completed in good time to allow colleagues in other departments to fulfil their duties.

Adhere to the company’s ISO quality and information security systems

    Pay and benefits

    Our client offers a contributory pension scheme and holiday entitlement which increases to 35 days with service. All staff receive an additional 15 days unpaid holiday allowance that can be used in addition to any paid holiday entitlement.

    Staff are enrolled in the non-contributory Westfield Health Care scheme and can claim back contributions towards opticians', dentists' and consultants' fees.

    They offer flexible hours, 35 hours a week with core office hours of 10am to 4pm. This allows staff to flex their working day earlier or later, to suit them.

    There are also bonus schemes in place, to ensure that everyone shares in the company's success. Each department also has a budget to spend in recognising and rewarding the success of team members or on team social events.
