What you’ll be doing

as a Cyber Security Engineering Lead Accountable for the leadership and management of a team of Cyber Engineers, at both a day-to-day operational and tactical solutions level. Responsible for the design and delivery of a secure asset build and system hardening capability, ensuring that it continuously provides strong compliance monitoring for our end-user computing and server estate. To maintain security infrastructure such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Protection systems. [network and host-based] Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop cyber security engineering strategies and controls that align with organisational goals. In charge of developing and maintaining all cyber security engineering documentation, policies, and procedures across all domains. Ensure that over the long term, controls and processes are established such that technical debt tracks down and is managed within acceptable risk tolerances.

Base Location – Hybrid – Clear Water Court Reading.

Working Pattern – 36 hours.

An understanding of how different operating systems work and security approaches for different technology stacks. Hands-on experience and proficiency in configuring cloud platforms, i.e. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud. Exposure to securing large deployments of servers and endpoints in complex infrastructure landscapes. Hands-on experience with Privileged access management tools such as CyberArk, Firewalls, Active Directory and Microsoft Azure, Sentinel & Defender.

Desirable:

Preferred previous experience within the water utility industry or large, complex infrastructure-based enterprises. security engineering-specific training and/or certification. A Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Competitive salary up to £88,000 per annum depending on experience. Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service.
