This role is critical in maintaining and enhancing the security of the firm's information assets. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong technical aptitude and proactive understanding of information security practices. Working with various teams and stakeholders, the Cyber Security Engineer will deliver high-quality security guidance and support across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Configuring, monitoring, and responding to alerts from endpoint systems, networks, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and SIEM tools.
Investigating server logs, firewall logs, traffic logs, and host system logs to identify potential issues.
Identifying, tracking, and resolving cybersecurity threats and alerts effectively.
Developing technical solutions and security tools to automate repeatable tasks.
Producing periodic intelligence reports to provide situational awareness for key stakeholders.
Maintaining up-to-date security control and framework documentation.
Researching and implementing new security technologies and best practices to enhance the firm’s security posture.
Key Requirements
Knowledge of security applications and tools.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
A proactive and positive mindset, with strong organizational skills.
High self-motivation and a passion for cybersecurity.
