The company is a long-established specialist in standby/critical power supplies. Providing diesel generators and control solutions, delivering end-to-end projects across critical infrastructure environments. This role leads the full lifecycle delivery of electrical and control systems projects, from bid handover through design coordination, panel build, PLC/SCADA integration, FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning, and final client handover. You will take ownership of scope, schedule, budget, risk, suppliers, and stakeholder communication to ensure safe, compliant, right-first-time delivery across UK-based projects.

Package

  • Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 Per/annum

  • Pattern: Office-based 85 to 90% with 10 to 15% UK site travel (as projects require)

    Responsibilities

  • Lead full project lifecycle delivery: design, build, test, install, commission, and handover

  • Build and manage programmes, cost plans, margins, change logs, risk registers, and cashflow forecasts

  • Coordinate delivery across electrical design, panel build, PLC/SCADA, and site teams

  • Manage commercial and contractual obligations including variations, purchasing, subcontractors, and valuations

  • Plan and run FAT/SAT and commissioning activities; ensure documentation packs are completed (O&M, as-built, close-out)

  • Ensure H&S compliance across CDM 2015, RAMS, permits-to-work, site inductions, and relevant electrical standards (e.g., BS 7671)

  • Act as primary client contact: run meetings, manage expectations, and keep reporting cadence on track

  • Drive continuous improvement through templates, checklists, and lessons learned

    Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years delivering UK-based projects in sectors such as power generation, data centres, utilities, industrial automation, or critical infrastructure

  • Proven delivery involving PLC/SCADA (Siemens TIA/Step7, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Schneider), control panels/MCCs, instrumentation, and industrial comms (e.g., Modbus, Profibus/Profinet, Ethernet/IP)

  • Strong experience planning and executing FAT/SAT and site commissioning with multi-disciplinary teams

  • Confident reading/marking up EPLAN/AutoCAD drawings, single line diagrams, and I/O lists; familiarity with IEC (phone number removed) concepts

  • Solid understanding of CDM 2015, RAMS, permits, and safe subcontractor management in live/critical environments

  • Excellent client-facing communication, progress reporting, and change/claims management

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to UK sites as needed

    Desireable Qualifications/Courses

  • Degree/HND in Electrical/Control/Automation Engineering (or equivalent experience)

  • APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or PMP

  • 18th Edition (BS 7671); ECS/CSCS; SMSTS/SSSTS

  • Awareness of functional safety (IEC 61508/61511) and industrial cybersecurity (IEC 62443)
