Cloud Security Engineer (AWS GCP) London / WFH to GBP80k

Are you a Cloud security technologist with FinTech experience?

You could be progressing your career at a global FinTech / CFD trading company that has been consistently voted as one of the UKs top employers.

As a Cloud Security Engineer you'll support, maintain, automate and improve IT security platforms including securing Containers and CI/CD pipelines. You'll collaborate with developers and engineers to encourage a security–by–design culture within the business and ensure effective operation of a growing number of security products and solutions.

Your initial focus will be on overhauling the AWS Security platform and evaluating the use of AI to enable automation of security in pipeline builds, you'll also work with GCP and will be encouraged to investigate and recommend new and emerging technologies.

Location / WFH:

There's a hybrid model with two days a week work from home, when you are in the office you'll be based in the City with an upbeat team environment, casual dress code and a range of facilities including roof terrace, restaurant and break out areas.

About you:

  • You have experience in a similar Cloud Security / Platform Security role at a FinTech (or within a financial services or other regulated environment)
  • You have a strong knowledge of AWS and / or GCP Cloud Security, happy to work with both
  • You have a good knowledge of Containers (Nomad / Kubernetes), Virtualisation, IaC, Terraform, Networking, DNS, Gitlab / Github and Linux
  • You can write scripts with Python, Go or bash
  • You have a good understanding of Foundational Security Concepts, strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • You're collaborative and pragmatic with great communication and stakeholder management skills
  • You have a genuine interest in security, likely to attend conference, read blogs etc in your own time
