The role.

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company’s applications and cloud infrastructure. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you’ll influence secure development practices, spearhead security strategies, and implement scalable solutions using cutting-edge cloud technologies like AWS.

Your responsibilities will be to

  • Conduct in-depth, security-focused code reviews.
  • Perform advanced application security reviews, including threat modelling for key features.
  • Develop centralized security libraries and automated testing tools to enhance secure coding practices.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to secure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strengthen authentication and authorization mechanisms, including Okta and cloud identity management.
  • Oversee and improve cloud infrastructure security within AWS environments.
  • Manage the bug bounty program, driving enhancements to maintain industry leadership.
  • Support security release processes and ensure critical vulnerabilities are resolved promptly.
  • Create dashboards and metrics to track application security performance.
  • Promote security best practices across development and deployment teams.

About you.

We are looking for a Cloud Security Engineer with these Must-Have skills and experiences

  • Strong experience in Cloud technologies including AWS and related security tools – AWS Security Hub, AWS Shield, AWS Identity & Access Management (IAM)
  • Experience in identifying and resolving security vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of common security issues (e.g., OWASP Top 10, CWE) and secure coding principles.
  • Familiarity with modern security tools and libraries, including static and dynamic analysis tools.
  • Understanding of network/web protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS) and AWS cloud security.
  • Basic development/scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

It would also be great to have these ‘Nice to Haves’.

  • Hands-on experience with bug bounty programs.
  • Background in fintech, insurtech, or regulated industries.
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., OSCP, CISSP).
