PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The mission of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) organization is to maximize customer success by taking over responsibility for smooth end-to-end operations for their SAP implementations and lowering customers' total cost of operation. SAP Enterprise Cloud Services manages delivery & operations for all the private cloud components of RISE with SAP.

As a Cloud Architect & Advisor (CAA), we are looking for an accomplished SAP Technical Architect to support the growth in our business and deliver high-quality results consistently for our customers. Working in a critical team in ECS, you will be contributing to SAP's Global strategy of helping customers with the adoption of SAP S/4HANA on their path to the Intelligent Enterprise.

SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) supports customers throughout their cloud transformation and SAP S/4HANA adoption journey. We run the Intelligent Enterprise so they can be an Intelligent Enterprise. Our portfolio of SAP Private Cloud and SAP Cloud Application Services turns SAP products into a solution-as-a-service on customers’ preferred infrastructure, including Hyperscalers, as one SAP.

This role will be part of an existing ECS Cloud Architecture & Advisory team in EMEA. Being part of SAP’s Customer Service & Delivery organization, we are looking for a highly motivated and customer-focused SAP Cloud Architect to strengthen our Enterprise Cloud Services team. The Cloud Architect & Advisor (CAA) acts as a primary point of contact for all technical topics from the customer perspective and works closely with our customer-facing teams and delivery teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Cloud Architect & Advisor (CAA), you will be responsible for the technical foundation of RISE with SAP engagements. This includes topics like hyperscalers, infrastructure, network, or private cloud deployment. You will present the offering, run workshops, and be the primary point of contact for our customers in these regards.

Internally, you will be collaborating both with our sales teams and different technical domain experts to ensure that all relevant customer questions are correctly addressed and answered. You will hand over your infrastructure design and the customer-specific parameters to the build teams for them to deploy the RISE systems.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of customer-facing experience
  • High proficiency in customer communications and presentations
  • Good understanding of technical capabilities of at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Understanding of data center capabilities like high availability or disaster recovery is a benefit
  • Good understanding of the entire platform stack (storage, virtualization, hardware, networks etc.)
  • Good understanding of SAP technologies (releases, platform interdependencies etc.)
  • Experience with implementation and operating SAP solutions.
  • SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills are a benefit
  • Foundations knowledge of cybersecurity
  • Self-sufficient worker and strong team player
  • Affinity to technical topics, willingness to tackle aspects outside the comfort zone and to continuously learn
  • Fluency in English is a must, any other language an asset.

Cloud Architecture & Advisory is an integral part of the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) organization. ECS drives and develops the RISE portfolio to cater to our customers’ needs and operates most of the RISE landscapes.

The Cloud Architects & Advisors are a group of highly motivated and customer-focused people, which validate the technical feasibility of RISE deals during the presales phase. This is crucial to ensure all customers get landscapes that match their requirements.
