Client Delivery Apprentice

Are you ready to dive into the high-stakes world of data and financial technology? Do you have a technical, analytical mind and a passion for turning complex data into powerful solutions?

Our client is a leading global provider of analytics and optimisation tools for the derivatives industry, and is looking for a driven and talented individual to join their Client Services Team in their London headquarters as a Client Delivery Apprentice.

Location: East Central London (Hybrid working arrangement)
Salary: National Apprenticeship Wage (£7.55 per hour for the first year then any uplift in year 2 will be in line with age and apprenticeship/minimum wage regulations)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 18:00
Apprenticeship length - 18 months, with 80% of learning achieved on the job, for optimum productivity.

What You'll Be Doing: The Technical Core of Client Success

You'll be the technical linchpin in client onboarding and implementation projects. You'll move beyond theory and get hands-on with real-world data integration:

Data Transformation: Work with various complex data formats (JSON, XML, CSV) and use tools like Jinja2 transforms to integrate client data into the firm's own platform.
Integration & APIs: Get comfortable using APIs and SFTP to build seamless data transmission layers between their clients and their award-winning software.
Problem-Solving: Quickly debug, manipulate, and validate large, complex datasets, owning the process for resolving data and market data issues.
Tooling & Automation: Contribute to their internal efficiency by scripting in Python for internal tooling and utilising automation tools like SoapUI and Postman.
Documentation: Create clear, essential documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths & English (or equivalent)Please note: an IT related qualification higher than Level 2 (A Level, Level 3 or 4, degree, masters etc) will make you ineligible for the apprenticeship, as you will be overqualified.

You don't need to know everything, but you need a strong foundation and a hunger to learn. We want to hear from you if you'll bring:

A technical & analytical mindset with a keen interest in data and the financial markets.
Experience working with complex datasets and a strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with APIs, SFTP, and a good understanding of the Python coding language.
Exceptional internal motivation to learn and take ownership.
Bonus points for an understanding of financial instruments, particularly Prime Brokerage business experience, but this is not essential

Training & Development

You will complete a Level 3 Digital Support Technician Apprenticeship, covering:

Operate digital information systems
Digital architecture (physical storage vs cloud, the role of operating systems and servers).
Maintaining end-user systems (software, hardware and operating systems)
Information security principals
System security
Account management (optional)
Managing & analysing data
Digital marketingThis apprenticeship offers blended learning, combining online training with practical workplace experience, setting you up for a successful career.
