As CFO, you'll providestrategic leadershipacrossfinance, operations, and sustainability, ensuring the trust's long-term financial health and operational excellence. Working closely with theCEO, school leaders, and Trustees, you'll shape strategic planning, oversee resource allocation, and manage risk to support the trust's educational mission.

As CFO, you'll be key in securing the trust's financial and operational strength, helping to turn this vision into reality.

Key Details:

  • Salary:Starting from £75,000 (negotiable).
  • Permanent, full-year position(52 weeks).
  • 35 hours per weekwith flexibility.
  • Hybrid working- manage your time across multiple sites.
  • Schools based inTrafford, Manchester, and Tameside.

CFO Responsibilities:

  • Providefinancial and operational leadership, advising theCEO, Board, and school leaders.
  • Overseefinance, HR, estates, and health & safetyat a strategic level.
  • Lead and develop theBusiness Support Teamto enhance trust-wide services.
  • Conductfinancial due diligencefor new schools joining the trust.
  • Identify and mitigatefinancial and operational risks.
  • Ensurecompliancewith all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Managebudget planning, financial reporting, procurement, and audit processes.
  • Leadincome generation strategiesand overseecontract negotiations.
  • Line manage theOperations Manager and HR lead.
  • Implement arobust risk management framework, covering finance, estates, and safeguarding.
  • EnsureGDPR, cybersecurity, and data protection compliance.
  • Represent the trust inexternal networks and forums.

The CFO Must Have/Be:

  • Adegree-level qualification.
  • Aprofessional finance or finance-related qualification(or willingness to gain one).
  • Experience managinglarge financial resourceswith a strong grasp of compliance.
  • Expertise infinancial strategy, leadership, and operational management.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experienceleading teams and driving organisational improvements.
  • StrongIT, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Adriving licence and own transport.
  • Willingness toundergo a DBS check.
