BMS Software Engineer

Location: Oxford
Salary: £52,000 - £70,000 + benefits

Job Summary

My client is seeking an experienced BMS Software & Graphics Engineer to join their industry-leading team. This role offers an exciting and varied career with access to high-profile projects, comprehensive training, and long-term career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of BMS (Building Management Systems) and EPMS (Electrical Power Monitoring Systems) specifications, ensuring fully commissioned systems.
Collaborate with clients, designers, and the wider construction team to optimize system performance.
Design, configure, and validate software and graphical solutions, incorporating both electrical and mechanical plant in complex critical environments.
Utilize expertise in Schneider products to deliver high-quality BMS solutions.
Develop and implement graphical presentations and control configurations to enhance accuracy and user experience.
Work on control schemes for various equipment, including:

Complex air plant and conditioning solutions
Resilient chilled water systems
Fire/smoke systems
Redundant IT systems with IoT cybersecurity and database integration
High and low voltage systems, including diesel generators, switchboards, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS)
Power quality and metering applications
Edge technologies enabling cloud solutions
Lighting and security systems

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to enhance the team's graphical and software expertise.
Ensure all engineering processes align with industry best practices and project requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in delivering BEMS systems for Data Centre projects.
Strong technical knowledge of Schneider Electric BMS systems.
Hands-on experience working with BACnet protocols.
Expertise in developing and adapting system software and graphics for optimal performance.
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications (full electrical apprenticeship or equivalent preferred).
Familiarity with PLC systems (preferred but not mandatory).
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work collaboratively within a high-performance team and manage project deliverables effectively.
