Help Shape a Resilient Future for Asset Management at Cadent Gas  

Do you have a passion for protecting critical infrastructure and a knack for strategic thinking? Cadent is looking for a Resilience Asset Investment Senior Engineer to help us safeguard our gas distribution network against the challenges of tomorrow.

In this vital role, you'll be a key player in shaping how we invest in our infrastructure to ensure it can withstand and recover from everything from extreme weather to cyber security threats. You'll develop long-term investment plans, working closely with Ofgem and other industry stakeholders to ensure we meet our regulatory obligations while delivering a reliable and secure energy supply for homes and businesses across the UK. Your collaboration will help shape industry best practice and inform future energy policy.

We're looking for a technical leader with expertise in risk modelling, climate change, and resilience planning. You'll be developing innovative solutions, working with talented teams, and influencing key decisions that will impact the future of energy distribution. You'll also guide a team of data specialists, ensuring they deliver robust analysis to support our objectives.

Continuous Improvement: – You'll drive maturity in our asset management practices using the latest IAM techniques and ISO55001 standards to create a more robust and resilient network.

Innovation & Impact: You'll be contributing to our core Asset Management Policy and Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP), helping to shape our long-term vision and strategy.

What You Will Bring  

Qualifications: Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience. Incorporated Engineer or recognised Asset Management certification desirable. Chartered status preferred.

Experience: Proven track record in asset management and investment planning for complex engineering assets required. Experience of asset risk modelling and climate impact on network infrastructure desirable.

Skills: Strategic thinker, strong communicator, and effective collaborator with excellent influencing skills.

Technical Expertise: Ability to analyse and interpret complex data (e.g., SAP, GIS, ) to inform investment decisions.

Business Acumen: Understanding of UK energy systems, RIIO regulatory framework, and process safety principles.
