A well-established and forward-thinking IT services provider based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team. This organisation has built a strong reputation over more than two decades, delivering high-quality IT support, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity services to businesses across the UK.

As an Accounts Assistant in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, you will play a key role in supporting the company’s financial operations. Working closely with the finance manager, you'll be responsible for a range of accounting tasks and business support activities.

Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire include:

  • Assisting with month-end and year-end financial reporting

  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns

  • Reconciling and recording online sales and other transactions

  • Managing accruals, prepayments, and asset registers

  • Supporting the processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll

  • Carrying out general administrative tasks and data entry as needed

    Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in a similar finance/accounts assistant role

  • Strong knowledge of Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with payroll processing is a strong advantage

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

  • Good written and verbal communication abilities

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
