Role Overview:
Ultima is seeking a results-oriented and experienced New Business Development Manager to join our team in Reading. This role is ideal for individuals with a minimum of 12 months' experience in selling IT or telecommunications solutions, who are passionate about driving new business growth and expanding our client base. As a New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within our existing client accounts, leveraging your expertise in IT solutions to drive revenue growth and exceed sales targets. This position offers the flexibility to work from our Reading office three days per week, providing a perfect balance of autonomy and collaboration within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Acquisition: Prospect and identify new business opportunities within Ultima's existing client base, leveraging your knowledge of IT solutions and industry trends to uncover potential areas for growth.
- Client Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders within client organizations, including C-level executives, IT directors, and procurement teams, to understand their business challenges and IT requirements.
- Solution Selling: Collaborate with internal technical teams and solution architects to develop customized IT solutions tailored to clients' specific needs and objectives.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to clients, highlighting the value proposition of Ultima's solutions and services and addressing clients' pain points effectively.
- Negotiation and Closure: Lead negotiations with clients to finalize contracts, terms, and pricing, utilizing your strong negotiation skills to maximize deal profitability and win-win outcomes.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their trusted advisor and primary point of contact for all sales-related inquiries and requests.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking opportunities through the sales cycle and providing accurate sales forecasts and reports using CRM systems.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive developments, and emerging technologies, providing valuable insights and recommendations to clients to support their strategic IT decisions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 months' experience in IT or telecommunications sales, with a proven track record of driving new business acquisition and exceeding sales targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of IT solutions and services, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, and unified communications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels of an organization, from technical stakeholders to C-level executives.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying creative solutions to address clients' business challenges and objectives.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
