Help buildand keep the nation's critical infrastructure connected andprotected 24/7. /n /n /n Reporting into the Head of InfrastructureOperations, the Network and Security Engineer is key to supportingTelent’s transformational programmes and continual serviceimprovement, providing design, implementation and support ofbusiness-critical systems across the Telent ICT estate. This is ahybrid working role, with a requirement to attend a Telent officeas and when required. /n /n /n What You’ll Do: /n /n /n /n - Act asa design authority for Telent’s Corporate Enterprise network, whereyou will produce, peer-review, and maintain high-level andlow-level technical documentation and network schematics. /n /n /n/n /n - Design, deploy and support network and security solutionswithin the Telent group, utilising Cisco plaforms such asSoftware-Defined Access (SDA) and SD-WAN. /n /n /n /n /n - Providetechnical support to the business, and resolve network relatedincidents in a timely manner. /n /n /n /n /n - Maintain thesecurity posture of Telent’s network infrastructure through the useof centralised authentication (ISE), Cisco Umbrella, and FTD/ASAfirewalls. /n /n /n /n /n - Perform BAU activities such as softwareupgrades and certificate management /n /n /n /n /n - Utilisemonitoring platforms such as Cisco ThousandEyes and CatalystCentre. /n /n /n /n /n - Oversee relationships with third partieswho provide network support to Telent’s enterprise network /n /n /n/n /n - Manage vendor contracts and licenses to ensure allenterprise infrastructure is maintained and supported. /n /n /n /n/n - Support the delivery of Security Architectures/Strategies aspart of a broader Enterprise and IS/IT Architecture. /n /n /n /n /n- Evaluate emerging technologies and deliver proof-of-valueenvironments to support business needs. /n /n /n /n /n - Identifyand mitigate technology and service risks. /n /n /n /n /n -Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rota (one week per month). /n/n /n /n Who You Are: /n /n /n We welcome applicants from allbackgrounds who can demonstrate their experience of designing,managing or supporting enterprise networks.
