The Opportunity

Brunswick is a special kind of advisory firm. We advise the world’s leading companies on how to navigate the critical issues they face and engage with their most important stakeholders.

As a Junior User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Designer you will have a great opportunity to work with some of the world’s largest companies, helping them solve their biggest problems.

We pride ourselves in delivering, day-in-day-out, fast turnaround work, so you will get the opportunity to collaborate with a wide variety of people across the firm and across our global client base. Importantly, you’ll also be able to quickly hone your UX and UI skills to a high professional level – whether these skills are steeped in each and every aspect of UX research, or all the way to working with our tech team to commit your creative vision to code. You’ll also have an award-winning Digital Creative Director to show you the ropes and take your skills to the next level.

All things going well, you’ll get to the point of running your own small UX or UI projects within a year.

If you’re an ambitious self-starter, this job is definitely for you.

Our work within Digital

In today’s world, the role of digital is central to helping our clients navigate critical issues that materially affect their business. Our digital capability exists to support the wider Brunswick Group, which is organised around a Practice Group and Sector Group model with offices all around the world.

Within our digital capability we have a team of strategic advisors who help our clients understand challenging situations and make clear and confident decisions to resolve them. We also have an audience and amplification team who gather deep insight into our clients’ core audiences and how best to reach and engage them.

This role is within the Design and Technology team, which exists to support our clients with websites and digital products that help them be more successful at their critical moments. You will be a part of our award-winning, full-service, in-house team of strategy, UX, design, developers, quality assurance and project managers. Our team also links with the wider creative team, including conceptual, campaign and design creatives.

Who we are looking for?

We’re looking for a thoughtful, creative and ambitious UX/UI designer with anything between one- and three-years agency experience.

If most of these criteria fit you, we’d love a chat:

A genuine passion for experience design and the impact it has on users. We need a collaborator! Someone who enjoys working with people and building their network, whether inside the firm or in the wider UX/UI community. We constantly need new ideas and approaches to UX and UI so we always just get better at what we do. A creatively strong folio of work, showing how you supported research, idea development, execution and iteration. To be UX focused, with a good level of experience with Figma to help create and use design systems. Someone who is really keen to learn and to soak up all the knowledge and experience across our firm. A curious, inquisitive mind will go a very long way. You’ll be supporting other designers and the wider team; you’ll be able to take direction but also bring your own ideas to the table. Someone who can explain their ideas and thinking to a wider audience. Excellent attention to detail, whether it’s developing a wireframe, thinking through an information architecture problem, or designing an interface design toolkit. We work using Agile methodology, so someone who has experience of working this way is a plus. We use industry standard tools, like for example Figma and Jira, so you’ll need to have experience of using these too. If you’ve got animation skills and can use any 3D or motion packages, even better. A lot of Brunswick’s projects are deal with highly confidential matters, maintaining confidentiality within a given project is a must. We work in a matrixed organization and need to balance competing demands: we need someone who thrives in this dynamic environment.

Analyze and learn from data and user research to inform design choices. Create wireframes and sitemaps websites. Design UI interfaces, which push visual creativity and follow a best practice approach. Create and maintain basic design documentation; style guides and design systems. Work alongside cross-functional teams, willing to learn and collaborate and be a source of energy.

Our Benefits

In addition to life assurance, group income protection, and employer pension contribution, we offer:
