The Role
Proofpoint is seeking a self-starting, highly motivated sales professional to join our successful and growing Public Sector team in the UK. You’ll be tasked with developing existing relationships and acquiring new logo business within the chosen sector.
Leading appropriate internal teams to generate and deliver winning contract proposals, compelling RFI/RFP Responses. You will be adept at negotiating terms of business with clients to achieve winning results for both parties that provide the basis for successful ongoing relationships.
Your day-to-day
Build business relationships at the executive level, coordinate multiple resources while consistently closing business in assigned territory. Presenting value propositions to deliver business outcomes for customers Win net new accounts and develop relationships with existing customers by positioning additional products and services. Work with Channel Partners to develop relationships and drive new business. Work collaboratively and cross-functionally to prepare account strategies and plans. Collaborate with Systems Engineers to organise and deliver compelling product demonstrations Deliver operational excellence, to include forecast accuracy, SFDC pipeline development, etc.
What you bring to the team
You will need to demonstrate examples of envisaging, building and accelerating new propositions within Public Sector (vertical to be confirmed) Knowledge and appreciation of current market trends facing UK Public Sector organisations Proven experience of developing C-Level/Decision making relationships, and familiarity of Government IT CXO hierarchy. Familiarity and experience working with Government purchasing frameworks and tendering process. Preferably we would like to see experience selling Enterprise Security or Information Technology Solutions, but if you’re an achiever from a different industry, we still want to talk to you! A proven and demonstrable track record of exceeding sales goals Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools preferred Previous Sales Methodology training (i.e. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales)
